We still accept D-Mark!

Our service for customers, who may have visited Germany some time ago and find that they have some D-Marks left, without any chance to have them exchanged into current money: you can now register shareware and pay in DM!

How does it work?

  1. Fill in the registration form of the shareware product you want to register. If you also want to order the Shareware-CD, add 5 EUR.
  2. Multiply the EUR amount by 1,95583 (the official conversion rate) - without calculator, just double it - and you have the price in DM.
  3. Send us the DM-cash together with your order form, preferably in a registered letter.

That's it!

If you do not have the right amount in cash, then we are happy to transfer any over-paid amount over 1 DM back. Please note the following:

Example: you want to register the shareware Boot-US for 15 EUR. 15 EUR x 1,95583 = 29,34 DM. You pay using a 50 DM note. We transfer the difference back (50 DM - 29,34 DM) : 1,95583 = 10,56 EUR to your account - free of charge in Germany and every EURO-country.

On the other hand, if you do not have enough DM but want to get rid of whatever you have, then we're flexible too. Based on the example above, 29,34 DM have to be paid but let's assume you have only a 20 DM note left, leaving DM 9,34. 9,34 DM : 1,95583 = EUR 4,78. This means that you can send us the 20 DM note and a 5 EUR note (small change costs more postage!). Please remember that you can send us International Reply Coupons (from your local post office) as well to top up missing DMs - where 1 IRC = 1 EUR.

Which data is required for the transfer of overpayment?

If you have a bank account in Germany, we need the account holder, account number and BLZ.

If you have a bank account in a country participating in the EURO, then we need the account holder and his address, name and address of the bank and BIC and IBAN (both codes can be found on your statement, otherwise ask your bank).

Otherwise we need the account holder and his address, name and address of the bank and every information required (account number, SWIFT etc. - please ask your bank about the information required to receive money from abroad).
